Bye Bye Thirsty's

These pictures are from Labour Day weekend--Terry and Krista closed Greco/Thirsty's for the summer...and apparently forever. Soooo, we drank the place dry and ate the place clean. Thanks Justine for sending me these pics. We had such a fun night-it was 4am before we got home (safe and sounds, thanks Justine for that too!). The pictures pretty much tell the story. *oh, the the highlight of the night was finding the storage closet packed with old Thirsty's hats and shirts:)

Pretty Bird is in Love----with himself

There are many days that Pretty Bird really p----s me off. He can be really noisey, quite messy, and a bit cocky. But then there are the moments when I think he knows I'm at my wits end with him and he becomes quite endearing. He loves looking at himself in mirrors, and he thinks he's quite the fellow. Moving Days

It seems like there are a lot of my friends moving lately. Simone bought a house and is moving tomorrow, Sindy and Dennis move into a different apartment next week, and Terry and Krista are in the process of moving into their new house right now! Friday night, Mark and I gave them a hand getting everything out of 37 Bonavista, and hauled out to Kelly's Cross. Here's the last picture of them at their house in Stratford. It was raining and the pic turned out pretty dark.

I think this is Terry's "Rhonda you are driving me nuts with that camera" look. Haha. I told him he'd thank me someday for all the memories I'm capturing! JB invited us back to Bonavista Dr. for some nice cold drinks after all the hard lifting and picture taking.
Robert and Miss Pearl bonded very nicely!Saturday morning we went and helped with one more load. The house isn't quite finished yet, so they are staying with Rob and Lori and Terry's parents for another week or so.

It's an awesome house. I love it. When it's completely finished I'll put more pictures up. Chow for now!

D'arcy and Kate's Wedding

Finally something to post about! Last Friday D'arcy and Kate had a small wedding at my Aunt Mary's house. It was fun, especially the after party. I was so glad that Kelsey came home for it, and I think that it's the first time that Kelsey, Meagan, and I went out on the town together.
Before the "I do's", D'arcy and Kelsey played a bit of hockey in the basement. Aunt Mary went down there to pin the flowers on them. The official certificate. You could barely here the man from the Justice of the Peace because the Snow Birds were practicing overhead...it was pretty cool.I'm so faithful to my Kodak...I'm the only one looking at it:)
First family pic in a while--I'm so glad Kels flew home, even if it was only for a couple days.

Blogger Rut

Hey everyone. Well, I haven't added a post in almost 2 weeks, I was on a great role there for a while. The past couple weeks I've been pretty busy taking a course at UPEI and getting ready to go back to work. Unfortunately I don't really have any pictures right now to post. The most exciting one would be that of a dog house we found in the Buy, Sell, and Trade. I think I'm in a blogger rut. No pics, no news.
Actually, last Sunday night a bunch of us got together at Terry and Krista's restaurant in Cavendish (Greco & Thirsty's), to eat all the left over food (yummy), and drink the place dry. They decided that they're not going to open the restaurant next summer, so they had some friends out to bid it farewell. I can't believe I forgot my camera, I was so mad. I'm still on the hunt for some of the pics that were taken by a couple girls, hopefully I can find them and put a few up. If my memory serves me correctly there are some dazzling pictures of me hoola hooping on the dance floor with a Thirsty's long sleeve T-shirt and black dress pants on. Lovely.
Anyways, that's the excitement lately. I started back to work yesterday, it's good to be back. Don't get me wrong, I had a great summer, but I'm ready to get back to contributing to society.
I bought some goldfish for my class tonight. I got them at Walmart and the lady was rushing me to pick one out, so I just said, oh that one and that one are fine. Well, one IS fine, but the other one is swimming upside down and his tail is chewed up. I'm pretty P-Oed by this. I want to take him back for a better one, but.....I don't know, maybe I should give him a chance.
Oh, and Monday my day was officially ruined when I heard the news about Steve Irwin the Croc Hunter. OMG, I loved that guy. I'm sure I saw each episode at least 3 times. My favorite one was when he went to the Galapogas Islands. I can't believe he's dead. There will never be another character like him. I wanted to go to his Zoo in Queensland and meet him.
Anyways, that's all. I'm not sure how many of you out there take the time to even look at this....maybe I'm typing to myself ..... is that as bad as talking to yourself???? Hopefully I'll have some pictures soon. Maybe I'll go take a picture of the fish swimming upside down.
